The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) will re-open the NE 45th Street Viaduct on Friday, September 10 at 11 a.m. to all traffic, pedestrians, and bicycles. The roadway was closed this summer between 22nd Avenue NE and Montlake Boulevard NE while the 468-foot western approach (the raised roadway at the end of the viaduct) was replaced.
The project is now substantially complete; however, the contractor will perform some final wrap-up work over the coming weeks which may require occasional lane closures between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.
