Tonight through Sunday, September 9 – 12, will be a team sports enthusiast’s dream with soccer, basketball, football and baseball scheduled across all five days. In addition, community festivals will be taking place over the weekend at GasWorks Park, Mount Baker, Northgate, Fremont, and lower Capitol Hill. The Seattle Department of Transportation encourages motorists heading out for weekend activities to consider taking alternate modes of transportation – Metro Transit, the Sounder commuter train, Link light rail, car pool, bicycle or walk, if feasible.

AFLAC Iron Girl 5K and 10K: 8 a.m.
Green Lake Park, and on streets adjacent to the Park;
Race will move clockwise around Green Lake, partly on the street, and partly on the park trail.
