Tenth closed to northbound traffic from E Boston to E Roanoke streets
This weekend, August 28 and 29, the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) and its contractor will make street improvements on Tenth Avenue E between E Miller and E Boston streets.
Work will begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday, with the demolition and removal of the existing street starting at 8 a.m. The work should be substantially completed by 10 p.m. on Sunday evening.
Closures, Restrictions and Detour 7 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday:
10th Avenue E from E Boston Street to E Roanoke Street
One southbound lane open.
CLOSED to northbound traffic – except transit.
Major detour: Northbound motorists will be detoured at the north end of the Broadway commercial district west on E Roy Street to Belmont Avenue E to Lakeview Boulevard E, north on Lakeview, then north on Boylston Avenue E, and then east on E Roanoke Street back to Tenth Avenue E. Detour route will be clearly posted.
East Boston Street from Broadway Avenue E to Federal Avenue E
CLOSED to through traffic at Tenth Avenue E
Westbound traffic must take a left (south) at Tenth Avenue E
Local access only between Tenth Avenue E and Broadway Avenue E
Police officers will be on site to keep traffic moving. Pedestrian access to all businesses and residences will be maintained. Local vehicle access will be maintained.
