Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) bridge crews are continuing work on the Ballard Bridge today (Aug 23), installing brackets for light poles. They will close the northbound curb lane until 2 p.m. They also plan to work tomorrow until noon, again closing the northbound curb lane. The sidewalk is already closed for bridge painting by a contractor working for SDOT.
Four light poles are being replaced as a temporary measure until next year when all of the lighting on the bridge will be replaced. When SDOT has completed this preparatory work, Seattle City Light crews will install the four replacement poles.
