A contractor working for the Seattle Department of Transportation will lay new asphalt on South Dearborn Street from Fifth Avenue South to Tenth Avenue South next week. Depending on weather conditions, this work will last three to four days and will take place at night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The north- and southbound I-5 exit ramps to Dearborn Street will be closed Monday through Thursday nights (June 28, 29, 30; and July 1). Detour routes will be posted.
At least one lane on S Dearborn Street will be open for traffic at all times in each direction. There will also be short-term cross street and driveway closures during paving.
This project is funded by the Bridging the Gap transportation levy approved by Seattle voters in November 2006.
