Thursday afternoon, motorists can expect the usual heavier game day traffic in the SODO area when 38,000 Seattle Sounders fans turn out for a 6:30 p.m. match at Qwest Field. The Seattle Department of Transportation advises motorists to avoid delays by planning ahead. Seattle Sounder fans are encouraged to take transit, Link Rail, the Sounder, or carpool, to help reduce traffic snarls during the peak afternoon traffic.
