With the start of Spring on Saturday morning, March 20, over 1750 little baseball players will be lining up for the annual Magnolia Little League Parade. The parade through the Magnolia Village to the Magnolia Playfield may cause some traffic congestion. There may also be some traffic delays in downtown Seattle on Sunday afternoon with the Iraq War 7th Anniversary Protest March and Rally. The Seattle Department of Transportation reminds motorists to plan their travels accordingly.
Saturday, March 20
Magnolia Little League Parade: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
1,750 participants expected
Parade staging starts at 8:30 a.m.
Parade route: begins at W. McGraw St. and Westmont Way W; east on McGraw to 32nd Avenue W; north on 32nd to W Smith Street and onto Magnolia Playfield; Seattle Police will escort.
Sunday, March 21
Iraq War 7th Anniversary Protest, March, and Rally: 12 noon – 2:30 p.m.
600 participants expected
Rally takes place at Westlake Mall
March begins at 1:30 p.m.
Parade route: Moves east on Pike Street to Eighth Avenue; north on Eighth to Pine Street; west on Pine to Pike Place; north on Pike Place to Virginia Street; west on Virginia into Victor Steinbrueck Park; Seattle Police will escort.
