A section of Olive Way will be closed and another section will be reduced to one traffic lane as SDOT’s contractor repaves Olive Way from Third to Sixth avenues and Ninth to Terry avenues.
Paving is scheduled to occur the night of Monday, March 22 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. This work is weather dependent and rain or extremely low temperatures could postpone the work until Tuesday night or later.
During the paving overlay work there will be nighttime parking and loading restrictions near the work zone, as well as periodic cross-street, alley and driveway interruptions, and possible side-street lane closures.
Between Third and Fourth avenues, Olive Way will be closed from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Between Fourth and Terry avenues, one lane of traffic will be open on Olive Way at all times.
Uniformed police officers will be on site to keep vehicles moving.
After street paving, crews will install new pavement markings.
