Seattle Department of Transportation’s paving crews will lay a thin layer of asphalt on Mercer Street on Saturday, March 20, from Fairview to Westlake avenues. At least two lanes will remain open as well as the sidewalks during this work which is scheduled from 6 a.m. until no later than 4 p.m. Police Officers and traffic flaggers will assist traffic.
Mercer Street has been plagued with potholes. Crews are performing this repair to maintain the street until it is rebuilt as part of the upcoming Mercer Corridor East project.
