Seattle Department of Transportation paving crews are making repairs on West Commodore Way in the Magnolia neighborhood. They will work between 27th Avenue West to approximately 31st Avenue West through Friday, February 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. While they are working, the street is closed to through traffic from 27th Avenue West to 40th Avenue West. A detour is provided from West Commodore Way to 27th Avenue West, West Government Way, and through Discovery Park to 40th Avenue West.
By 2:30 p.m. each day, one lane will be reopened, shared by both directions of traffic taking turns until the next morning. They plan to reopen the full width of the road by 2:30 p.m. on February 12.
Access to businesses is being maintained. Sidewalks remain open.
Note: In mid-February, SDOT Communications will no longer send out brief traffic advisories, such as this one. More in-depth traffic advisories will continue to be sent, as will news releases and media event notices. The short traffic advisories will instead be available through RSS (Real Simple Syndication). We are eager to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone and we encourage you to go to our website http://www.seattle.gov/transportation, scroll down to the light green bar titled On the Move and select the RSS’s of your choice.##
