Crews working for WSDOT will close a lane this weekend on the westbound I-90 ramp to northbound I-5 in Seattle. Drivers should plan for short delays and backups on westbound I-90 while crews perform earthquake safety improvements.
o At 11 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, WSDOT contractor crews will close one lane of the westbound I-90 ramp to northbound I-5 to strengthen two columns on the adjacent 12th Avenue S. Bridge. The closure will reduce the ramp to one lane of traffic.
o The lane will reopen by 5 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 31.
This weekend’s work is part of WSDOT’s I-90 – I-5 to 12th Avenue S. Seismic Retrofit project.
