James Street will be closed to through traffic between Fourth and Fifth avenues tomorrow (Saturday, October 17) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. If weather permits, SDOT’s contractor will prepare the intersection of Fourth and James for paving. Eastbound traffic on James will be required to turn north at Fourth Avenue and westbound traffic on James will be required to turn south on Fifth Avenue. James Street will be open to local access traffic, so there will be access to the city hall parking garage during this closure. Sidewalks will remain open.
This work is a part of the Fourth Avenue paving project.
