SDOT’s contractor will be working on Wall Street from Fifth Avenue to Sixth Avenue next week, to be completed by mid November. At least one lane will be open at all times.
The Wall Street project includes replacing all the existing concrete roadway panels with new panels from just east of Fifth Avenue through the Sixth Avenue intersection. The project will also include constructing curb ramps were feasible, installing bus shelter foundations, and restoring or repairing the adjacent sidewalk.
Wall Street is the last exit before the Battery Street Tunnel for southbound traffic on Aurora, and connects to Fifth Avenue, serving as an entryway into downtown Seattle.
