Next Monday, September 28, a contractor working for the Seattle Department of Transportation will begin work on Wall Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues. The contractor will work mainly week days with some weekend work. The street may be reduced to one lane of traffic during peak and non-peak hours starting Monday. Construction will continue through the end of October.
The construction work will include pavement removal; installation of a new concrete street surface; repair of sidewalks; expansion of tree pits; construction of a bus bulb; the installation of new curb ramps; and the retrofit of existing curb ramps to conform to current accessibility standards.
