SDOT’s paving contractor will work on Stewart Street and also on Second Avenue from Friday, August 7 at 7 p.m. until Monday, August 10 at 4 a.m. During this time the following traffic restrictions will be in effect:
Stewart Street (one-way westbound), closed between Second and Fourth avenues.
Second Avenue (one-way southbound), reduced to one lane at Broad, Stewart, Pine and Pike streets . Cross streets: Broad Street –westbound traffic required to turn left on Second Avenue; closed to eastbound traffic at First Avenue. Pine Street:–(one-way westbound) reduced to one lane at Second Avenue. Pike Street—(one-way eastbound) reduced to one lane at Second Avenue.
Other work, includes paving along Marion Street and on Second Avenue in the Yesler Way area, with the following traffic restrictions:
Second Avenue (one-way southbound), atYesler Way–westbound traffic required to turn left (south) at Second Avenue; eastbound traffic blocked at Second Avenue (work expected to be complete Sat morning, Aug 8).
Marion Street (one-way eastbound), restricted to one lane from First to Third avenues starting at 6:30 p.m. Fri Aug 7 until early the next day.
Detour routes will be posted and uniformed police officers will be on duty during construction hours to keep traffic moving.
