SDOT’s paving contractor will reduce the number of travel lanes on Stewart Street between Boren Avenue and Westlake Avenue starting on July 6th until July 31st. Two westbound lanes will be available, one on the north curb lane and one on the south curb lane, except on Saturday July 11th and Saturday July 18th when only the south curb lane will be open.
All travel on cross streets will be maintained with the exception of Terry Avenue, which will be closed to northbound traffic at Stewart. Travel will be maintained from northbound Terry to westbound Stewart Street. Right and left turns from Stewart will be prohibited at some cross streets. Uniformed police officers will be on duty during construction hours to keep traffic moving.
The closures described above will allow SDOT’s contractor to remove and replace concrete panels in the center lane of Stewart Street between Boren Avenue and Westlake Avenue.
