SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events happening in the city that may affect traffic. The Seattle Mariners play Tuesday night and Wednesday during the day. WE Day happens at KeyArena on Friday. March for Science is Saturday in downtown Seattle.
TUESDAY, APRIL 18:
Seattle Mariners vs. Miami Marlins at Safeco Field at 7:10 p.m. About 18,000 people are expected to attend.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19:
Seattle Mariners vs. Miami Marlins at Safeco Field at 12:40 p.m. The southbound SR99 off-ramp to S Atlantic St will be closed for approximately one hour following the Mariners’ game. About 32,000 people are expected to attend.
FRIDAY, APRIL 21:
WE Day: All day event from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at KeyArena. Buses will pick-up and drop-off students on streets adjacent to KeyArena. Expect delays in the South Lake Union neighborhood during the morning and afternoon commute. About 12,000 people are expected to attend.
SATURDAY, APRIL 22:
The Tenacious Ten 10K/10Mile: Race starts and finishes in Gas Works Park. Route includes Eastlake Ave E, Fairview Ave N, Westlake Ave N, Fremont bridge and Northlake Way. Race starts at 8 a.m. About 2,000 people are expected to attend.
March for Science: Rally at 10 a.m. at Cal Anderson Park followed by a march at 12 p.m. to Seattle Center. From 11th Ave and E Pine St, route will go west on Pine St, north on 4th Ave, north on Cedar St, north on 5th Ave N, and west on Harrison St into Seattle Center. About 20,000 people are expected to attend.
UW Husky Spring Preview and Fan Fest: Fan Fest kicks off at 10 a.m. in the Dempsey Indoor Practice Facility and will feature football-related activities for fans, entertainment for kids, and autograph sessions with Husky players. Fans are invited to watch the Dawgs practice at 12 p.m. at Husky Stadium. About 20,000 people are expected to attend.
