SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events happening around the city this week that will affect area traffic. The Greenwood Seafair Parade is tonight at 6 p.m. The Seafair Torchlight Parade in downtown Seattle is Saturday night. Pista Sa Nayon Filipino festival is Sunday at Seward Park.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 27th:
Greenwood Seafair Parade: The Greenwood Community celebrates the 66th Annual Seafair Parade with bands, drill teams, pirates and more. The parade starts at 6 p.m. on Greenwood Ave N and N 95th St, heads south on Greenwood Ave N and turns west on N 85th Street to 6th Ave NW. Streets will close at 4 p.m. and re-open at 8:30 p.m. About 4,500 people are expected to attend.
FRIDAY, JULY 29th:
Clips Beer and Film Tour: A celebration of craft brewing and creative short films at 6 p.m. in Gas Works Park. About 2,500 people are expected to attend.
SATURDAY, JULY 30th:
Seafair Torchlight Parade: The parade begins at 7:30 p.m. on 4th Ave N and Broad St with more 100 entries. The route travels south on 4th Ave to S Washington St. About 250,000 people are expected to attend.
Seattle Dragon Boat Festival: The 13th annual festival with competitive dragon boat racing, live music and kids’ activities in South Lake Union Park. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 900 people expected to attend.
SUNDAY, JULY 31st:
Pista Sa Nayon: The 26th annual community festival in Seward Park from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. celebrates Filipino culture with local food booths and traditional entertainment and displays. About 10,000 people are expected to attend.
SOUNDERS SCHEDULE AT CENTURYLINK FIELD:
Seattle Sounders vs. LA Galaxy, 1 p.m. About 45,000 people are expected to attend.
