SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events in the city that may affect area traffic. The Seattle Women’s March goes from Capitol Hill to Seattle Center on Saturday morning. The Seattle Gift Show at the Washington State Convention Center runs Saturday through Tuesday.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 19:
Private Event at CenturyLink Field Event Center, evening hours. About 20,000 people are expected to attend.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 20:
Seattle Women’s March 2.0: Seattle Police will escort the march from Cal Anderson Park to Seattle Center via Pine St, 4th Ave, Cedar St, 5th Ave N, and Harrison St. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. About 40,000 people are expected to participate.
The Comedy Get Down at KeyArena at 8 p.m. About 4,500 people are expected to attend.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 20 – TUESDAY, JANUARY 23:
Seattle Gift Show at the Washington State Convention Center. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday through Monday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday. About 5,000 people a day are expected to attend.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 21:
Ethiopian Orthodox Churches – Epiphany Celebration March: March begins at Kings Hall, located at 27th Ave S and MLK Jr Way S, continues south on MLK Jr Way S to St. Michael Church, located at 67th Ave S and MLK Jr Way S. March begins at 10:30 a.m. About 500 people are expected to participate.
