Detour of southbound Delridge Way SW at SW Thistle Street starts March 20
Southbound traffic on Delridge Way Southwest will be detoured at Southwest Thistle Street in West Seattle starting Wednesday, March 20, if weather permits. With the work zone shifted on Delridge to the segment between Southwest Thistle and Southwest Trenton streets, crews will begin Phase 2 of SDOT’s Delridge Way paving project, reconstructing the street and installing storm drains in this area.
Traffic will be directed:
- West on SW Thistle Street
- South on 35th Avenue SW
- East on SW Trenton Street
- South on Delridge Way SW
The detour is expected to be in place until early June. Northbound traffic on Delridge Way will be maintained. Local access and access to businesses will also be maintained.
This is a five-phase project. At the completion of Phase 2, the construction activity will move to the Phase 3 section of Delridge Way Southwest between Southwest Thistle and Southwest Holden streets. Please visit the project website for more information: www.seattle.gov/transportation/pave_delridge.htm
The Delridge Way Southwest Paving Project is funded by the Bridging the Gap transportation levy approved by Seattle voters in November 2006.
