As we celebrate Halloween tomorrow night, the Seattle Department of Transportation urges motorists to slow down and drive with added caution. If children or adults are walking in the street, drivers should make eye contact with them before moving forward or turning. Likewise, pedestrians are encouraged to be extra careful, wear or carry something reflective, only cross streets at corners, and make eye contact with motorists before crossing.
Community celebrations will be taking place in Fremont and Magnolia. The ghouls and goblins will parade through the Fremont district in the “Haunt of Fremont,” while costumed children and adults will be out trick or treating on McGraw Street in the heart of Magnolia Village.
